Finding and converting prospects is a never-ending task.

Everything from finding the right prospects, to marketing to converting them into clients and providing the service itself takes a lot of time and commitment.

Having a solid plan of action is fundamental to your sales process, along with being able to be consistent in your approach

But there is something else that not many people talk about that is required to make regular sales and that’s the right mindset.

Once you have laid out your sales plans and figured out how to implement the best approach to converting clients you need to have a drive within you to be consistent even when you don’t feel like it and this can be the hardest thing to master.

It’s easy to get fed up when it feels like you’re not converting clients as quickly as you would like, you can feel that all your hard work isn’t paying off.

But the reality is that all the effort you have been putting into your sales and marketing won’t always come to fruition immediately and can take weeks, months or even longer before you start to see results.

The content you put out today could result in a sale at any time in the future so the need to stay consistent is real.

Once you recognise this it becomes easier to stay consistent.

The sales and marketing you do now can pay dividends but you have to be consistent and give it time to work and not everyone can do that so by staying the course you can in many cases outlive (in a business sense) those competitors who urgently require results and haven’t got the ability to remain consistent.

But what if you are just not built that way, really struggle with consistency and you don’t have the right mindset to keep you driven?

  • Well, that’s where a little forethought comes in…
  • Having a plan really helps, then you know what you need to get done
  • Doing the same things at the same times of the day gives you a routine to work to.
  • Batching your tasks together stops you flitting from one thing to another and can help you with focus.
  • Using an app to automate some tasks like scheduling content, takes the pressure off a little too.

I personally use Publer for my content scheduling, it’s easy to use and I can set it up for weeks and months in advance if I need to.

There are plenty of tips and advice all over the internet to help you to be more consistent but be careful not to devote to much valuable time to researching these, instead just try one or two things that you think could work for you and then assess your progress.

Having the right mindset is less about fake positivity and affirmations and more about finding the right tools to help you remain consistent which will produce results, therefore keeping you driven.
